A History Lesson

I had something to say about all this yesterday. F. A. Hayek had something to say about it in 1944:

The Road to Serfdom

Hitler was both left and right. "Mein Kampf" and Hitler's second book (I have read both) presented Nazism as an amalgamation of both social democracy and social conservatism. The social conservative part is very similar to the "crunchy con" and other anti-capitalist conservatism that floats around on the internet these days.

Hayek in "The Road to Serfdom" said Hitler was socialist. The book was published in 1944.

Yes, Hayek's "Road to Surfdom" is a good book. But when it comes to Hitler, why not get it direct from the horse's mouth itself?

Hitler spells out his vision for the Greater Germanic Reich in "Mein Kampf". He details the philosophy and sociology much more in his second book.

You know that "Mein Kampf" was a best seller in its day. It sold over 20 million copies. Hitler became a best selling author.
