After Correcting

After correcting for an error in data correction we have a new list of the hottest years since around 1900 in the USA.

The top 10:

1934 - hottest
1998
1921
2006
1931
1999
1953
1990
1938
1939

Let us cluster them by decades:
1921
1931, 1934, 1938, 1939
1953
1990, 1998, 1999,
2006

So 1934 was the hottest. Interesting. Man made CO2 so far hasn't been blamed for the warming in the 30s.

Here's a report to confound the AGW alarmists

Table 2 shows a net uptake (removal from the atmosphere) of CO2 for North America for the years 1988-1992

Wow

Simon - this is why I say AGW is a complete humbug.
The climate is the last thing that climate scientists are interested in measuring.
There aren't even any rules you can use to defend against these mercenaries. You say "there has been some warming, but man didn't do it." They come back with "no there hasn't been."
Arguing against them is like fighting Ali in his floats like a butterfly days.

It would be interesting to cross check these latest numbers with the solar cycles.
